In his second “pro” CD release, Steve Jansen (not Steve Jansen from Japan, not Japan the country) takes a concept developed during a 2017 tour of mainland Europe/Scandinavian/the Eastern Bloc and “brings it to the ‘studio.’”
“Now is the Moment for the Sun’s Suicide” is an extended take on the black-metal-dirge-into-nothing piece that performed in un-adorned bars in České Budějovice and Toulouse while “Discipline and Abandonment” is no-fi fare blaring through a circular architecture of 9V powered mini amps.
